House of Prayer offers a myriad of small group opportunities. Please contact the church office for more information about any of these groups. Among the small groups you will find:

  • Book Club - Participants meet on the first Thursday of each month to discuss a book that has been chosen ahead of time. Meetings start at 1:30, at the church.

  • Board/Card Game Meet-ups - On the first Friday of each month, come and play board games or cards with other church members and members of the community from 1:30 to 5:00pm.

  • Pastor’s Bible Study - Tuesday mornings at 9:30am, either in person or via zoom

  • Altar Guild - This group prepares and cleans the elements for worship each Sunday morning. They also meet once a month for fellowship and periodic sanctuary cleaning.

  • Card Ministry - This group recycles old greeting cards to create new ones that the congregation can purchase at low cost and share with loved ones.

  • Early Birds’ Bible Study - This group utilizes the Taking Faith Home resource to discuss the weekly Bible texts. They meet each Thursday morning at 8:00am at Denny’s on 12th Avenue.

  • Prayer Shawl Knitters - This group meets together to make prayer shawls for those in need and blankets for the newly baptized.

  • Heritage Team - This group helps preserve and celebrate the history of House of Prayer by managing church records and artifacts.

  • Social Seniors - Senior fellowship events are held periodically with Oak Grove and Woodlake (our collaboration churches). These will be advertised in the announcements.
