The Outreach Ministry Team seeks to serve House of Prayer and the greater community by:
Acting as House of Prayer’s focal point for outreach to our neighborhood and community
Helping select, organize, and lead House of Prayer outreach projects
Approving outlay of funds for outreach programs
Organizing fundraising activities to support outreach projects
Serving as House of Prayer representatives for local and global outreach organizations
Advertising outreach opportunities to our congregation
Helping enrich the lives of givers and receivers
Currently, the Outreach Team is working with the following organizations:
VEAP (donating & volunteering at our local food shelf) Learn more
Simpson Shelter (volunteers serve dinner to people experiencing homelessness) Learn more
ISAIAH: Faith in Democracy (organizing for social justice) Learn more
Many Hands Many Meals (Pack meals for children and adults around the world) Learn more
Lutheran Social Services (donating supplies & money toward the many programs of LSS) Learn more
Loaves and Fishes (providing supper to those in need) Learn more
Habitat for Humanity (building housing for low-income families) Learn more
Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches Learn more
Meals on Wheels (delivering lunches to homebound neighbors) Learn more
